My greatest priority
Protecting your muscle mass and metabolism is my greatest priority. The weight loss methodology of working out to burn calories and caloric intake restriction, is not what I coach. With this methodology, there is always the risk of losing muscle mass. Remember, the more muscle we have, the faster our metabolism. If we lose muscle in the weight loss process, we lose our metabolism. With a ketogenic diet, the intake of food, dictates the fat burn, not the exercise. Can you exercise while on an ketogenic diet? Yes, but we’re going to keep it simple, and monitor the muscle mass on our impedance scale. The big-time exercise will come on your terms, after your weight loss. If I do my job right, you will learn to worry how many pounds of fat you lose, how many pounds of muscle mass you’re retaining, and how water loss and water gain play a role in our daily lives.
